Are you a cinephile? Do you have a massive collections of films in alphabetical order and organized by their genres and sub-genres (I may or may not do that…)? Do you like watching the biggest films of the year? Planning on seeing any films in 2015? Then let this handy guide help you out! Well, this first part of this handy visual guide will give you some pointers on what to watch! Or – in my case – interesting enough to leave the house and watch it in cinemas versus waiting for it to premiere on streaming platforms or released in physical or digital formats! This post is just very excited about sharing movie trailers, hence all the exclamation points!
The following list of trailers and teasers below feature quite a few of the genre-heavy films coming out this summer and later this year. This is definitely not a full list of all the genre-heavy efforts coming out this year, but this is a start for fans of the Science Fiction, Horror, Fantasy, and Superhero genres. While The Avengers: Age of Ultron can currently be seen in many countries around the world, the movie won’t be officially released in the United States until next Friday – May 1st. There will be multiple parts to this guide filled with movie teasers and trailers; another genre-heavy post or two will be following shortly.
* All release dates are for the United States unless otherwise noted. ‘Cause you wonderful international readers get all of these films a week or two before us. You lucky, lucky filmgoers…
** I am aware that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice won’t be released ‘til 2016, but with the arrival of the first teaser a week ago, I though it appropriate to add it to the list.

Oh man, I was unsure of Snyder directing batman v superman but I literally got chills watching the trailer..dark knight returns for sure… I love the whole false god thing…damn if superman isn’t so sensitive too.. I still question affleck as being the franchise batman. He like snubbed kevin smith when he got that role, can you imagine him at comic cons? If he even goes… Henry cavil was an amazing pick. I question the stat power that DC tries to bring to these films… Grant gustin should have been given the flash role… And Amell should get the green arrow role if it’s cast. Given the popularity he has brought to a character who has typically been a comic book bore. If celebrity guaranteed box office then batman and robin would have been the most successful of all the movies.. I really only liked Liam Neeson in batman begins.. He actually read for the part in this season of arrow which would have been rad but they cannot afford him..
Henry cavil made a great superman because there was nothing attached to him, not to say Diane lane, Amy Adams (worst pick for Lois lane ever) Lawrence fishborne, kevin Costner and Russell Crowe were great outside of Amy Adams but they could have cast many of those who were in smallville… I liked zod though and Russell Crowe as jor-el..
I think about how much DC spent casting Ryan reynolds and Blake lively on the green lantern and wasn’t spent on vfx and stunts..same with daredevil..
DC seems to forget that iron man was a script nobody wanted to direct and Robert Downey jr was an actor who had blown his chances with the industry..and the avengers were the c team for marvel.. Hems worth and hiddleson were unknowns, they gave Chris Evans a second chance after being “Johnny flame” …mark ruffalo, Jeremy renner and scarlet johanson have all been nominated for either an Emmy/tony/Oscar .. Which is likely why they only (outside of Scarlett’s sidekick status) star in the Avengers and won’t be getting their own flick…
Anyway I digress ..end rant
